Q1. What is involved in a property styling consultation?
The Styling Process begins with a complimentary in-person consultation with our styling specialist. Within this consultation you’ll be provided with an comprehensive property plan covering styling strategy, features of the property that need to highlighted, enhancements and repairs to minimise flaws while maximising sale price, addressing your priorities and guide of the pieces that would be included in the styling of your property. Timelines and pricing will be dissuaded with you according with the property plan. Once the plan is accepted deposit is required to book the styling.
Q2. Can I live in my property while it is styled?
We ask for clients not to live in the property, if we have fully styled the property. This is to ensure we maintain the condition of each piece. With partly styled properties, we have found that to keep your home looking its best and to ensure that our furniture and homewares are kept in the best condition, it is best to not live in your home for the duration of Furniture hire. However, we can style occupied homes case by case.
Q3. How long does it take to stage a property?
Our property styling installation takes between 4 and 6 hours, depending on the size of the property and ease of access.
Q4. Can I use some of my own furniture in a staged property?
Using some of your own furniture is what is known as Partial Property Styling. For vendors that can’t move out, our Partial Property Styling Package utilises some (or all of) your furniture along with our artwork and accessories to create a home that will appeal to buyers. While our Full-Service package requires your property to be empty, our partial styling package is perfect for owners who need to stay in their homes during the sale period.Our stylists can assess your furniture during your in person consultation and give you advice on partial styling
Q5. What are the payment terms for Property Styling?
Ark requires payment in full cleared before your installation. A 20% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
Q6. How long is the average hire campaign?
Our average styling campaign period is 5 weeks. If more time is required, we will be able to accommodate this for an additional cost.
Q7. When should I contact a property stylist before putting my home on the market?
The more notice you give us, the better!! Typically 2 to 3 is ideal, but we can accomodate shorted notice. We recommend further notice to ensure we have the correct pieces for your property.
Q8. How much does property styling cost?
The costing depends on the size of the property and number of items required. Through discussion with our styling specialist and your property plan, we will be able to design a package that best suits your ideal budget.
Q9. When does my hire period start when my property is staged?
From the day the items have been we installed at your property.
Q10. How is the furniture moved in and out of my property?
Very carefully and by professionals. We are stylists, not removalists. That’s why we employ an amazing team to move our furniture.
